A plan to go to Jaipur was always on my bucket list.
The valor of the forts of Mughals and Rajput, the pinkish hue, and the beauty of the palaces is the only thing that buzzes your mind when you think of Jaipur.😍
I was interning in New Delhi after the end of my second-year undergrad.
In my 3rd week of the internship period, when I had already completed that week’s work – I wanted to travel out of Delhi.
Dehradun, Rishikesh, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Manali – everything was on my list. Something was not happening when I wanted to plan any of these above.
Finally came ‘Jaipur’. 💖
Let’s Start✨
I started planning – rooms, my touring agenda, transport.
I had enough options of trains taking me to Jaipur in 4-6 hours duration – and most of them were available too. I booked the tickets on the same day itself to avoid waitlist conditions.
I wanted to be economical in my budget, and so planned everything at optimal rates, still not compromising with the quality (average middle-class Indian xD) – it would always be at a manageable level for everyone – you can trust me!
So, with these conditions, finally, I booked a backpacker hostel, where I wanted to meet like-minded travelers. Done with hotel and trains.
The trip plan is pending – lol, the whole trip plan was ready in an hour – keeping in mind the transport cost, distances between each place, reviews, timings and holidays of each place, based on themes, and a lot more criteria that just creeps in my mind when I sit for the planning.
You can have a look at the travel plan I had made initially. In most cases, not all the places are covered – I do miss out on places when I need more time to enjoy other places – that is where preference set plays a role.
Travel Dates – 22 April 2022 – 25 April 2022
Trains – Delhi - Jaipur - Delhi
Hotel – (A Backpacker Hostel – Around 800m from Hawa Mahal, Pink City, Jaipur)
Try to get a hotel inside the Pink City Walled Area, if possible near Hawa Mahal - which leaves you with easy accessibility to most of the tourist attractions.
Planned Budget – Rs. 8000/-
Tour Plan – Solo Trip - 2 full days in Jaipur
(Wanna know how to plan a trip yourselves easily? Read it here💖)
The list below is the main attractions one can consider visiting, and anyone can complete the same in 2-3 days easily.
There are of course other places which depend upon your time and preference.
3-4 days would be more than enough to complete places in and around Jaipur city.
Finally, it was Friday. Week’s work done at the office.🥳
Packed my bag and started to the New Delhi Railway Station at 6.45 PM, for a train to catch at 7.55 PM.
It was already late and I had to wait for 15 minutes for the metro - then a 25-minute ride. By the time I reached the New Delhi Railway Station, it was 7.40 PM.
That is where the fun started. A long queue stood before me at the wrong time - for a security check.😵💫 The conclusion was that I missed the train!
Everything was ready, except for an unexpected mishap at the last minute.
No, I am not going back to my room.😂
I booked a bus that night, started around 10.30 PM, and reached Jaipur at 4.30 AM.
Checked-in the hotel and slept off.
